Psalms 141

An Evening Prayer for Sanctification and Protection.

A Psalm of David.

1 O Lord, I call upon You; ahasten to me!
bGive ear to my voice when I call to You!
2May my prayer be
Lit fixed
counted as dincense before You;
The elifting up of my hands as the fevening offering.
3Set a gguard, O Lord,
Lit to
over my mouth;
Keep watch over the idoor of my lips.
4 jDo not incline my heart to any evil thing,
To practice deeds
Lit in
of wickedness
With men who ldo iniquity;
And mdo not let me eat of their delicacies.

5Let the nrighteous smite me
Or lovingly
in kindness and reprove me;
It is poil upon the head;
Do not let my head refuse it,
Lit And my prayer
For still my prayer ris
Or in spite of their calamities
against their wicked deeds.
6Their judges are tthrown down by the sides of the rock,
And they hear my words, for they are pleasant.
7As when one uplows and breaks open the earth,
Our vbones have been scattered at the wmouth of
I.e. the nether world
Sheol.

8For my yeyes are toward You, O
Heb YHWH, usually rendered Lord
God, the Lord;
In You I aatake refuge; abdo not
Lit pour out my soul
leave me defenseless.
9Keep me from the
Lit hands of the trap
,
aejaws of the trap which they have set for me,
And from the afsnares of those who do iniquity.
10Let the wicked agfall into their own nets,
While I pass by
Lit altogether
,
aisafely.
